Programme

The main goal of this course is to prepare students so that they would be able to show their Spanish competence in someone of the six DELE levels: A1 – A2 – B1 – B2 – C1 – C2.
The exam consists of five parts testing student's competence in:

Reading Comprehension,
Listening Comprehension,
Oral Expression,
Written Expression,
Grammar and Vocabulary

So there is another goal: to improve the four communication skills and knowledge/usage of grammar and vocabulary… in summary, prepare, acquire skills aimed to pass the exam..

METHODOLOGY

To achieve these goals, the course consists of general activities (4 lessons/day) as in the Intensive Language Courses, and one extra hour dedicated to working with real exam materials (from previous exams) or material elaborated in the same format as the exam, so that the students get familiar with test patterns as well as system of evaluation.

Even though many of the activities could coincide with the Intensive Language courses' program, all of them are aimed at special needs of every student with attention to the main goal: to pass the exam.

The course makes up the theoretical information – elaborated from the most advanced perspective of linguistic studies – with practical exercises and the continuous participation of the student.

Communicative activities in order to improve the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Rotation of teachers: teachers change every class.

1. Practice and exercises focusing on grammar, vocabulary and written expression

1 / 2 Lessons per day

Revision and description of a part of the grammar and lexis for practice with exercises and communicative situations. Homework correction.

Practice of linguistic resources. Presentation, analysis, acquisition and practice of language resources: verb forms, vocabulary, grammatical structures, idiomatic resources…

We discover, explore and practice the communication techniques that facilitate the formal resources studied.

2. Practice of Oral Expression and Interaction based on communicative situations and thematic units

1 / 2 Lessons per day

Practice from the thematic contents, in recreated real situations and specific communicative needs.

In these sessions we put into practice and consolidate formal resources and communicative techniques to apply the communicative tasks and activities selected according to the corresponding level and programme.

3. Activities with specific DELE format (model exams)

Model exam tasks and other materials oriented towards practice and specific training for the different exam papers.

EXT. Socio-cultural activities (introcurricular(optional) (View programmes)

Fortnightly program. Acquiring competence in another language requires cultural immersion. With this objective in mind, CastiLa you have developed 54 activities to help students integrate into Spanish life and culture. These activities are of different kinds: films, thematic evenings, recreational activities, musicals, events in Granada, excursions, visits, parties, sports, tapas with the teachers, paella...

DELE EXAMS

DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the official accreditation of the degree of proficiency of the Spanish Language, issued and recognized by the Ministry of Education of Spain. The Institute Cervantes is the institution in charge of organizing the exams in collaboration with CastiLa in Granada.

Exams take place in Granada and in other examination centres (all over Spain and many other countries in the World) in February, April, May, July, September, October and November. See dates

SCHEDULE: Five classes between 8:35 am and 14:30 pm. Either from 8:35 am to 13:35 pm or from 9:30 am to 14:30 pm (Break from 11:15 to 11:50)

METHOD: Practical communication activities with special attention to the way of expression. Rotation of teachers.

MATERIAL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: Books and all the necessary equipment.

SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES: Daily activities in the afternoons with our teachers and on the weekends with collaborating teachers

2026 NATIONAL HOLIDAYS (no classes): April 3rd, May 1st, June 4th, August 14th, October 12th, December 8th and 25th.
