INTENDED FOR
Spanish teachers who want to refresh their teaching work (or start in it), observing and experiencing a real model of teaching and learning Spanish, while immersing themselves in Spanish culture.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
- To understand and analyze a specific teaching and learning model in order to acquire techniques and knowledge that facilitate the classroom activity of Spanish teachers.
- Analyze/compare with the teachers who created different techniques and resources applied to the teaching-learning process of Spanish.
- Reflect on the different processes involved in acquiring skills in the four communicative skills.
- Analyze the grammatical content that is of greatest interest in learning Spanish and acquire new techniques to facilitate its teaching and learning.
- Analyze and develop classroom activities.
- To value and become familiar with different resources, teaching materials and documentary sources: materials, Internet, library, TV, video, music, social media, etc.
- Compare the knowledge acquired in the course and practice it under the coordination of the center's teaching team. Carry out real-world practice in classes with students of different levels and backgrounds.

COURSE CONTENTS
- Methodological perspectives.
- Curriculum issues.
- The four language skills: analysis and development of classroom activities and criteria for analyzing teaching resources.
- The teaching of grammar.
- Documentary sources: language and resources for the Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) classroom. Teaching materials.
- Evaluation: methods and techniques of evaluation, curriculum evaluation, and evaluation of the teaching process.
- Cultural aspects in the teaching of Spanish.
PRACTICES
Participants in this course have the option of witnessing the didactic applications in classes of different levels and teaching real classes coordinated by a tutor in these groups.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (Actually “Introcurricular” to promote cultural immersion)
GENERAL PROGRAM (2 weeks)
The difference between this program and the model 204. Teacher training course ELE This course consists of:
-focuses on the observation and practice in real classes
-In addition, the clarifications and theoretical reflection, the teaching debate and the sharing of ideas take place in individual tutoring (max. 2 people).
-Includes a program of cultural activities*
*In order to combine pedagogical and linguistic aspects, cultural immersion is advisable. With this objective CastiLa It is designed 54 different activities which facilitate integration into a real-life Spanish environment. These activities come in a variety of formats: from themed afternoons (with different content: history, current events, economics, wine, politics, culture, film series, lectures, and pop or flamenco performances); to more recreational activities (parties, meals, paella in the school garden, formal dinners, tapas tours, concerts…) visits (AlhambraMuseums, exhibitions, wineries, olive oil mills, etc.), excursions to other nearby areas or sports (football, volleyball, padel, etc.), etc. These are alternated in two-week programs.
SPECIFIC TRAINING ACTIVITIES ELE
Participants in this course take part in the continuing education activities of CastiLa in individual tutoring. Also, if they coincide, they can participate in the training activities that CastiLa organizes for its teachers.
ACCREDITATION AND CERTIFICATES:
Students receive a Certificate of Attendance.
20 hours of class per week + 10 hours of cultural activities are certified.
EU-Erasmus+. This course meets the requirements to obtain Erasmus+ grants and funding, the European Union program that supports education, training, youth and sport (2021-2027).
