General Description

General Spanish course with the same structure as the intensive courses (101. General A, 20 hours per day), aimed at those who have time available for stays between 8 and 52 weeks. The longer duration of the course means a reduction in the registration fee per week. Of course, CastiLa's methodology and quality of teaching is guaranteed, with a maximum of 6 students per class. As in other courses, the contents, objectives and methods are adapted to the communicative needs and the level of the student, in order to guarantee their progression as shown in the CastiLa level scheme.

Aproach
We use communicative activities to improve the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Part of our method includes a rotation of teachers.

Practice of grammatical forms and vocabulary
2 classes per day
Explanation of grammar extracts and immediate exercise practice in real communicative situations. Correction of homework.

Practice and conversation based on thematic units
2 classes per day
Oral and written exercises, comprehension practice (audio-visual material and analysis of documents or magazines, books, television and radio) and conversation related to the specific topics studied.

To gain knowledge of a language, cultural immersion is necessary. With this in mind, Castila offers more than 40 different social activities that help the foreign students' integration into the Spanish life. These activities are of a wide variety, including: Spanish movies, thematic evenings, musical evenings, trips, visits, parties, sports, “tapas time,” “paellas”…
