INTENDED FOR
Spanish teachers, university students, and graduates who want to orient their professional future towards teaching Spanish as a second language. There are two different pathways: for teachers with experience and teachers in training.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
- Acquire techniques and knowledge that facilitate the classroom activity of teachers of Spanish as a foreign language.
- To publicize the different processes involved in the acquisition of skills in the four communication skills.
- Analyze the grammatical content who have the greatest interest in learning Spanish and acquiring techniques that facilitate its teaching.
- Analyze and develop class activities.
- To value and become familiar with different resources, didactic materials and documentary sources: materials, Internet, library, TV, video, music, etc.
- to contrast the knowledge acquired in the course and practice them Under the coordination of the center's teaching staff. To carry out traineeships real classes with students of different levels and profiles.

COURSE CONTENTS
- Methodological perspectives.
- Curriculum issues.
- The four language skills: analysis and development of classroom activities and criteria for analyzing teaching resources.
- Grammar in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
- Documentary sources: language and resources for the Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) classroom. Teaching materials.
- Evaluation: methods and techniques of evaluation, curriculum evaluation, and evaluation of the teaching process.
- Cultural aspects in the teaching of Spanish.
PRACTICES
Participants in this course have the option of witnessing real-world teaching applications in classes of different levels and giving practical classes coordinated by a tutor in these groups.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (optional)
GENERAL PROGRAM (2 weeks)
In order to combine educational and linguistic aspects, cultural immersion is advisable. With this objective, Castila has designed 54 different activities that facilitate integration into a real Spanish lifestyle. These activities come in various formats: from themed afternoons (with different content: wine, politics, economics, culture, current events) to film series, lectures, and pop or flamenco concerts; others are more recreational, from parties and meals (paella in the school garden, formal dinners, barbecues) to visitors (AlhambraMuseums, exhibitions), excursions or sports (football, volleyball), etc., which alternate in two-week programs.
SPECIFIC TRAINING ACTIVITIES ELE
Those attending this course will be able to participate in the continuing education activities that Castila organizes annually for its teachers who coincide during the stay.
ACCREDITATION AND CERTIFICATES:
Students receive a Certificate of Attendance.
10 hours of face-to-face classes per week are certified + 10 hours of optional practical training for every two weeks of the course completed.
