The ride of the 3 Kings
The three Kings of Minor Asia, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar are coming to Granada and perform the traditonal ride of the 3 Kings, the oldest one in Spain. The page boys dispense the public with candies throughout the route y if we are lucky and attentive we will certainly catch some.
Visiting the Alhambra
We will walk through the palace and gardens of the most important arabic monument of the western hemisphere. The Alhambra represents the maximum splendor of the Nasrid art.
The Carmen of the Martyres
This old, historic Carmen is located very close to the Alhambra and keeps a secret inside: a romantic garden created in XIX century. This evening we shall walk uphills, throught the outer gardes of the Alhambra. It´s a bit hilly but certainly worthwhile the effort.
Urban art: graffiti
The streets of Granada are hiding treasures of contemporary culture: the graffities of the international “Niño of the paintings”. We will contemplate some of them and analyze its messages which are scraps of urban poetry.
Serigraphy is a very common design technique we find daily in our lives. Today we will find out more about this technique and design our own label!
Granadas Science Park is an interactive center where we can observe, experiment and reach science. We will play with our knowledge, visit the planetario, the beautiful butterflies and witness bird raptors.
A little more of history and culture as to better understand the spanish livestyle. We will talk about Federico García Lorca, bullfights, 23-F, 20-N o 11-M.

The Holy Week
We will talk about one of the most important weeks of Andalusía, the Holy Week. It´s meaning, imagery, arts, gastronomy, brotherhood, the peculiar music … Everything you need to know in order to understand what happens during this week.
We participate in the elaboration of the beautiful Andalusí ceramics and learn some more about this old tradition. We will mold mud and paint our masterpiece of andalusian ceramic.
Orientation walk through the Albaicín
Two routes, two teams and two questionnair. During this activity we will discover the hidden spots of the historic neighbourhood and talk to its people. At the end of the exploration we will enjoy some tapas and share anecdotes of the activity with each other.
We invite you to spend the afternoon – evening in Granada, where a old tradition is being celebrated all over the city: the crosses. The origin of this festivity is uncertain but there are a many crosses to be visited on this occasion. They all compete to be the most beautiful one. Amazing atmosphere, the streets are plenty of ¡alegría! and spring.
The beauiful colours of our sky have bewitched many visitors and with creativity you will be able to recreate it. Our collegue Gema will reveal the secrets of watercolours in a beautiful surrounding.
Albaicín and Sacromonte
To know our surrounding, the place where we study, work, live is a necessity especially when the surrounding is full of history and histories. We will walk along narrow streets, cister, “miradores”, “cármenes” caves … walks of a singular beauty.
The Aljibe of the King
We live in a neighbourhood where history is not hidden in a museum but rather represented all over the Albaicín. Next ot the school we can find a Carmen “el Aljibe de los Reyes, which used to be part of a nazarí palace and where we can find out some more about the granadinos.
Getting familiar with Granada
It is certainly important to know our surrounding especially in a city full of history and plenty of things to do. We will go for a walk with our local embassadors and and look for information, who is faster?
After break we will go to the library and develop an investigation activity about spanish culture. At the end of the activity and plenty of newly acquired knowledge we exchange the experience and share impressions.
Virgen de las Angustias
On the 15th of September Granada celebrates the day of its patroness, the Virgin of the “Angustias”. We will visit her home which is everybodys home and admire the beautiful flower offerings people make her. If you want, you can make your offering too and bring along flowers.
Would you like to know one of Granadas hammam and relax in the warm and cold waters prior receiving a massage. We certainly recommend it.
After all the dramas we hacve seen lately, let´s switch to some spanish comedy: My mother is fond of women with Rosa María Sardá and Leonor Watling at the central aixs of tangles, complexes and continuous missunderstandings, always looking for the perfect partner. Subtitles.
The spirit of Flamenco is very important in Granada and part of the atmosphere. This evening we will assist to a spectacle and maybe witness some famous “duende” with the rythm of the hand clapping, the guitar, the voices and the dancing just as in the old zambras.
Granada is fond of Tango and a part of the Tango Festival taking place in March, there are some other high quality spectacles of Tango just as the one of tonight “Amores de Tango”. Don´t miss it out!
Concert in “La Nube”
La Nube (the cloud) is one of the best places to enjoy the warm summer nights of Granada. It is a wonderful place where one can dine, just have a drink and enjoy good concerts just as the one taking place tonight from Alessia Desogus.
Music in the Aljibe del Rey
The Foundation “Agua Granada” offers during the month of july several performances of classic music in the privileged enclave of the Aljibe del Rey. Let´s take advantage of the opportunity and assist to one of the performances.
Dance in the Generalife
The Generalife gets decorated for the Lorca Festival in Granada. This year we count with con Rafaela Carrasco, presenting “Tierra Lorca”. The Alhambra offers us a magic night you should not miss.
During the month of November the sound of Jazz can be heared all over Granada, it´s the month of the Jazz Festival and all over the city there are several concerts being performed. In big concert halls, bars and small clubs.
Night of Magic
During these days the Hocus Pocus Festival is being celebrated in Granada. Today Pepe Lirrojo performes impossible magic in the Corrala de Santiago. A luxury spectacle in a luxurious location. Essential!
Cinema at Kinépolis
Amongst the leisure offer of Granada, Kinepolis is a highlight as for the commercial area, the bars and restaurants, the movies, the bowling. What movies are they playing tonight? Let´s pick out one and enjoy it.

During the week of Lorca we have the possibility to enjoy the dramatic production “La casa de Bernarda Alba”. We shall witness the tragedy of a group of women, locked up by their jealous and cruel mother.
Since 1988 The Tango Festival is being celebrated in Granada and is a prove of the famous song of Gardel, that all this time is nothing. A musical show you should not miss out.

Fiesta San Antonio
Let´s get ready and put on our best dresses because in june is our birthday… it seems as if it was yesterday! Good music, drinks, snacks and wonderfull company, sometime it continues till the morning sun takes us to bed. Congratulations Antonios for all those years … since 1988!
There are several reasons for a party: 1) yesterday was San Rafael 2) today is Friday and 3) God will let us know. Whatever reason, this week of celebration we would like to invite you to one of these inspiring flamenco evenings in the albiacín we are so fond of.
Today the first edition of the Chirimoya Festival is being celebrated. An event of alternative arts, taking place at the school. Get inspired and be creative!
Feria of the Corpus
Today we come to school well dressed because we are going to the feria of Granada. First of all we study the caraocas (comic strips) of Bib-Rambla and then go to the Feria. Dance, eat have some drinks together and share the happiness with others.
Festival of the caves
The Flamenco Festival of the Caves is being celebrated at the Museum of the Sacromonte and during several nights we can enjoy performances of young, local celebrities of the Flamnco world.
Festival rock Zaidin
Summer is passing by but the heat on the scenery is going on. The neighbourhood Zaidin is celebrating the Rock Festival where free concerts are taking place: tonight we will enjoy Lagartija Nick and the Rockstar legends, are you ready to sing?
The last students of the year, teachers and friends of the school gather together to celebrate the past year and welcome the new one. Warm moments of the Castila family. A very Happy New Year to everybody!
It´s Friday and classes are over: ideal circumstance for having some tapas together! We will pick out some nice places with good tapas and there are certainly lot´s of them all over the city. Have a chat, a good laugh, enjoy the company.
Paella in the garden
If the weather is convenient, Antonio will prepare us one of his very universally famous paellas, suitable for carnivores and vegetarians. For those who want to help and learn, welcome!
Cooking pot of San Antón
Let´s enjoy one of the most traditional cooking pots of Granada, the one of San Anton. Very nourrishing, don´t go to the gym after this copious lunch.
This afternoon it´s your turn: each one of the participants prepares food, if possible of his/her country. The one who does not cook cna bring along something to drink. International plates in the garden of the school, welcoming summer, a good reason for gathering together!
This evening we will learn some more about the elaboration of wine and its denomination of origin and since there is no science without experience we will taste some of the most representative wines of Spain and find out who has got detective smell organs.
We walk down to the city center as to visit the traditional market of San Agustin. We have to make use of our spanish knowledge and resolve some questionnaire, talking to clients and sellers. If you want some fresh fish or meat. There is also fruit and vegetables, hhhhmmm.
