Description
An immersion educational program that includes classroom work, socio-cultural activities and, if necessary, accommodation. The programs are designed to integrate the syllabuses of the home universities as well as the requirements for university credit transfer (ECTS).
Objectives
To improve students' communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and cultural background by combining classes and homework with socio-cultural activities with teachers and local ambassadors.
Development and guarantees
At CastiLa, students are part of an international group whose common language is Spanish.
The main objective of the program is the continuous practice of Spanish, which is guaranteed in different situations:
• With Spanish students, families and collaborators.
• In class, with experienced teachers
• Outside class, in carefully planned activities according to the interests of the students and the objectives set by their teachers.
Program summary
- 20 classes per week: Spanish language and culture
- Maximum 6 participants per group.
- Weekly activities: – 2/3 cultural activities, carried out by teachers or specialized collaborators: themed afternoons, films, concerts, exhibitions, theatre, visits to the market, the library, monuments… - 2/3 leisure activities: sports (football, volleyball, tennis…), city tours, workshops (ceramics, environment, cooking…), cooking (paella at the school), salsa classes, flamenco classes, water activities on a lake, flamenco party at the school, bike tour…- 1 excursion (Saturday) to the beach, Sierra Nevada, Seville, Cordoba, Ubeda, Baeza, Ronda…organized by the school staff and collaborators.
- Access to swimming pool and other sports facilities.
- Access to study rooms and library.
- Optional accommodation organized by CastiLa in a studio or individual apartment, shared flat, Spanish family or residence
Planning: Program assessment and guarantees
In order to guarantee the achievement of the objectives, the course planning includes:
- Level test on arrival
- Activities programmed according to the level and specific needs of each student, focused on practice and increasing personal ability to express oneself and understand in the four communication skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading).
- A learning assessment system agreed with universities for the awarding of credits.
- Certificates of attendance, level and ECTS credits upon completion of the course.

SCHEDULE: From 9:30 am to 1:35 pm (Break from 11:15 to 11:50)
METHOD: Practical communication activities with special attention to the way of expression. Rotation of teachers.
MATERIAL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: Books and all the necessary equipment.
SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES: Daily activities in the afternoons with our teachers and on the weekends with collaborating teachers
2026 NATIONAL HOLIDAYS (no classes): April 3rd, May 1st, June 4th, August 14th, October 12th, December 8th and 25th.
