The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with this particular aspect of the Spanish language by using continued practice-analysis, exercises and conversation based on materials and hypotheses taken from real situations in the economic and business world. This includes business correspondence, specialized vocabulary, texts and conversation. Most students combine this course with a general course or other specific purposes course.
It is also possible to arrange an internship in a company through us, for a period of 4 to 24 weeks.

History, art, politics, society, film, music, fashion, sports, etc. This course is designed to provide information about contemporary Spain and South America, taking into account the particular interests generated through discussion with students who already possess a good knowledge of Spanish. We try to explore all ideologies and visions. Most students combine this course with a general course or another specific purposes course.
This course aspires to give knowledge about present day Spain, taking into account the interest that it provokes in whoever already possesses an ample knowledge of the language. The ideology that guides us is that of expressing all ideologies, of giving a vision of all visions
Contents
- Introduction (4 classes): Spain and its environment. Historic summary. Administrative Political division (autonomies/historic regions).
- Present Politics (12 classes): The Transition (social value). Introduction to the present political situation. Spanish politics of special interest in domestic and foreign affaires.
- Economic and social situation (6 classes): Agriculture, industry, tourism. Terrorism, unemployment, crime.
- Means of communication (6 classes): Press, Radio, Television.
- Culture (12 classes): Art, design, fashion, cinema and theatre, music, bull fights, sport
This culture and society course is complemented by the following activities, the programme of which can be adjusted to the subjects covered in class:
- Debates
- Video projection
- Musical and radio listening sessions
- Organisation of exhibitions and attendance at others
- Lectures given by specialists of the subjects dealt with films

This course is an introduction to the history of Spanish literature as a specific use of the language. It is a detailed study of two different programs of books and authors. A special focus is made of these periods:

Designed for those who are teaching or planning to teach Spanish in their home countries. The objective is to improve the didactic and linguistic contents of their teaching and to provide an opportunity for intensive discussion of trends in teaching, as well as offering practice in the Spanish language and discussion about Spanish culture.

Profesores de español, universitarios y titulados que quieren orientar su futuro profesional hacia la enseñanza del español como segunda lengua.
OBJETIVOS GENERALES
- Adquirir técnicas y conocimientos que faciliten la actividad en clase de los profesores de español para extranjeros.
- Dar a conocer los distintos procesos implicados en la adquisición de capacidades en las cuatro destrezas comunicativas.
- Analizar los contenidos gramaticales que mayor interés tienen en el aprendizaje del español y adquirir técnicas que facilitan su enseñanza.
- Analizar y elaborar actividades de clase.
- Valorar y familiarizarse con diferentes recursos, materiales didácticos y fuentes documentales: materiales, Internet, biblioteca, TV, vídeo, música, etc.
- Contrastar los conocimientos adquiridos en el curso y practicarlos bajo la coordinación del equipo docente del centro. Realizar prácticas reales en clases con alumnos de diferentes niveles y perfiles.

CONTENIDOS DEL CURSO
- Perspectivas metodológicas.
- Cuestiones curriculares.
- Las cuatro destrezas lingüísticas: análisis y elaboración de actividades de clase y criterios de análisis de recursos didácticos.
- La enseñanza de la gramática.
- Fuentes documentales: lengua y recursos para la clase E/LE. Materiales didácticos.
- La evaluación: métodos y técnicas de evaluación, evaluación del currículo y evaluación del proceso de enseñanza.
- Aspectos culturales en la enseñanza del español.
PRÁCTICAS
Los asistentes a este curso tienen la opción de presenciar las aplicaciones didácticas reales en clases de diferentes niveles e impartir clases prácticas coordinadas por un tutor en estos grupos.
ACTIVIDADES EXTRACURRICULARES (opcionales)
PROGRAMA GENERAL (2 semanas)
Con el fin de aunar las cuestiones didácticas con otras lingüísticas es conveniente una inmersión cultural. Con este objetivo Castila ha diseñado 54 actividades diferentes que facilitan la integración en un estilo real de vida española. Son actividades con formatos variados: desde las tardes temáticas (con diferentes contenidos: vinos, política, economía, Cultura, actualidad) a ciclos de cine, conferencias y audiciones de pop o flamenco; otras más lúdicas, desde las fiestas y comidas (paella en el jardín de la escuela, cenas formales, barbacoas) a las visitas (Alhambra, museos, exposiciones), excursiones o deportes (fútbol, voleybol), etc., que se alternan en programas de dos semanas.
ACTIVIDADES ESPECÍFICAS FORMACIÓN ELE
Los asistentes a este curso podrán participar en las actividades de formación permanente que Castila organiza anualmente para sus profesores que coincidan durante la estancia.
ACREDITACIÓN Y CERTIFICADOS:
Los estudiantes reciben un Certificado de Asistencia.
Se certifican 10 horas de clases presenciales por semana + 10 horas de prácticas opcionales por cada dos semanas de curso realizado.
Comisión Europea – Comenius. El programa de este curso reúne los requisitos necesarios para obtener las becas y ayudas Comenius ofrecidas por la Unión Europea a través del actual Programa de Aprendizaje Permanente (2007-2013).
Accredited Spanish Teacher program: 4 weeks, 85 hours (45 lectures and 40 hours classroom practices observing and teaching).
